At Talent Garden Rainmaking, we pride ourselves on having a strong community. However, a strong community is only as strong as the members that are part of it.

In this series, we want to give you an introduction to some of our members in our coworking space, the problems they are working to solve, and why they choose to be huddled up in an old naval building with a lot of other startups.

What is LegalHero?

LegalHero is a digital platform for SMB’s and in-house counsel. An alternative to the traditional law firms, providing dynamic templates, legal hotline, and a marketplace with hundreds of pre-vetted legal experts. All available at fixed costs on one simple and secure platform.

How long have you been at Talent Garden Rainmaking?

We’ve been members of Talent Garden Rainmaking for almost two years. Initially, we were just two guys sharing a desk, but over time, we have grown the team to 7 people and moved into one of the team rooms. This kind of flexibility, being able to scale up and down as you go, is great. It has given us a huge amount of value and comfort that we have had the opportunity to scale from 2 to 7 people – and everything in between – without struggling to find a new place to be.

What are the benefits of joining a coworking space?

Joining a coworking space is extremely valuable for any entrepreneur, no matter how experienced you are. If you are just starting out or have a couple of ventures under your belt, being amongst other entrepreneurs and startups is incredibly helpful.

You get to share the ride with like-minded people and you can always get the advice you need. Either from someone who has been in a similar situation like yourself or someone with a twisted mind that can help you spark creativity and get you going when you hit a rough patch. And, of course, the Friday bars are more fun.

What to look for in a coworking space?

Most days I spend more time at the office than I do at home. Therefore, for me, it is important that it’s a nice place to be. Many spaces can provide the same surroundings in terms of facilities, but what differentiates a good coworking space from a great coworking space, is their ability and willingness to invest in actively helping the startup. Having spent time at a couple of different coworking spaces, what I have truly come to appreciate is the people running the place. The power of a great supporting cast, who not only helps do all of the day-to-day work but also actively invests time and effort into helping to make the right introductions has been the most important and best feature.

Why did Legalhero join Talent Garden Rainmaking?

We had previously been at another coworking space. We were very happy to be a part of that too, but we reached a point, where we had to start looking for something bigger and somewhere, we could close the door.

We found that at Talent Garden Rainmaking, and we instantly fell in love with the people and the community here. It’s a busy environment with cool, inspiring people working hard on some really cool projects. At the same time, we have a culture here where nobody’s too busy to grab a beer or a coffee in the café.

I guess – and hope – we will get to a breaking point where it perhaps would make better sense to find our own office somewhere. For now, we really enjoy being a part of the Talent Garden Rainmaking family, and we don’t see us moving anywhere in the foreseeable future.
